FAQ — Waterproofing Services by Bhawani Technologies
Get clear, no-fluff answers to the most common waterproofing questions our customers across India ask. We’re an award-recognized applicator (Dr. Fixit) delivering diagnosis-based, warranty-backed solutions.
How do I know if my property needs waterproofing?
Damp patches, ceiling stains, musty odors, blistering paint, or efflorescence are red flags. Our team conducts moisture diagnostics and a structured inspection before recommending a system.
Do you work only in Delhi NCR or across India?
We serve all of India—metros (Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, etc.) and tier-2/3 cities—deploying teams as per project scope and timelines.
Which systems do you use (APP, PU, epoxy, crystalline, EPDM)?
We specify systems based on substrate, exposure, movement, and budget—APP/EPDM membranes, PU/epoxy coatings, cementitious/crystalline slurries, sealants, and detailing accessories.
How long does waterproofing typically last?
With correct diagnosis, surface prep, and application, systems generally last 5–10 years (varies by system, usage, UV exposure, and maintenance). We provide a written warranty post-completion.
What is your inspection and recommendation process?
Assessment → moisture readings → substrate condition check → detail mapping (joints, parapets, drains) → written treatment plan with system, scope, and QA steps.
Can work be done while the property is occupied?
Yes. Most residential treatments are non-intrusive. Bathrooms/basements may need short curing windows before regular use.
Do you provide written warranties?
Yes—warranty periods depend on the system and scope. Terms are documented in your completion pack.
Are you recognized by any brands or institutions?
Yes. Bhawani Technologies is recognized by Dr. Fixit; we also work with leading brands like Sika and Asian Paints where suitable.
What preparation is done before the application?
Cleaning, crack chasing, priming, slope/drain checks, corner fillets, and substrate repairs as needed. Proper prep is critical to performance.
How soon after waterproofing can I resume normal use?
Most systems allow light use in 24–48 hours post-curing; full cure can take longer depending on the product and climate.
Do you handle leak source detection (not just surface coating)?
Yes. We focus on source-level fixes: detailing at parapets, joints, outlets, pipe penetrations, and cold joints, not merely top coats.
Do you perform pond tests or QA checks?
Where appropriate, we conduct water-ponding or equivalent QA checks and document results in your handover.
Can you coordinate with builders, RWAs, or facility teams?
Yes. We frequently coordinate with builders/PMCs/RWAs/IFM teams for access, safety, and scheduling.
Do you offer industrial/commercial waterproofing?
Yes—basements, podiums, STPs/ETPs, process floors, tanks, and select industrial wet areas with appropriate chemical resistance.
What about bathrooms—how do you prevent leakage to lower floors?
We treat floor-wall junctions, verticals, and plumbing penetrations; re-tile or re-grout where required; and specify compatible membranes/coat systems.
Will waterproofing increase floor levels?
Membrane thickness is typically a few millimeters; we plan for slopes and outlet levels to maintain drainage.
Do you provide GST invoices and compliance documentation?
Yes—GST-compliant invoices and material datasheets/SDS can be included where applicable.
How do I request an inspection or proposal?
Share your location, problem description, and area details. We’ll schedule an inspection and provide a written, transparent proposal with scope and warranty options.
